Great news! The family we donated to on SmallCanBeBig just met their goal of $1,500.

It’s a significant day for this family of six. I feel great to have a played a part in it. I hope you do, too.

About race day (Sunday, Nov 1)
If you happen to be in NYC and wanna see the race, the race organizers have a few suggestions about where to watch it. There’s also a course map, if you’re curious. (It’s a .pdf.)

Early on, my crew will be near mile 18 (on the west side of 1st Ave) and then later, in the park, between miles 23 and 24. If you’d like to meet up, follow @kpopnob on Twitter: she’ll be updating her whereabouts (and posting pics) during the race.

In less than two weeks, I’ll be toeing the line at the 2009 NYC Marathon. Sunday November 1: a day sure to go down in the Annal of Bad Decisions.

Glorious ride, glorious weather. Low 70s or so. Stopped with Schneider at the Main St. Cafe in Concord for some bean and a delicious coffee cake muffin.
